I had the great pleasure of working recently with Diane Portugal on an extensive remodeling of our administrative offices in St. Helena; the experience was beyond enjoyable, the end result—perfection.

Our project, involving both a spatial expansion into adjoining rooms and an aesthetic upgrade, was initiated with the desire to produce an environment more in keeping with our company identity than what we had known for the past eight years. After just one meeting with Diane, we not only walked away with a firm belief in her talent as a designer, but also with the reassurance that she understood exactly what we needed and wanted with our renovation.

From day one, Diane was fully cognizant of our budgetary concerns and shortened timeline. Throughout the course of the project, she was able to provide several options for each purchase and/or construction goal and if none were approved, was flexible and creative enough to make additional suggestions without delaying our progress. Diane made herself fully available to us from start to finish, and with a commitment and passion that was never in question. As a result, our offices have been transformed from generic to elegant, from an awkwardly compartmentalized space to a better functioning and more appropriately welcoming place to work and visit.

Without restraint, I would enthusiastically recommend Diane Portugal Interiors for any design project, be it in regards to a private home or business. Her attention to detail, organizational skill, pure talent and overall kindness of spirit make her not only a delight to work with, but also an absolute pleasure to refer to others.
